Legacy architectures weren't built for today's cloud native applications.

As container platforms like Kubernetes have become the foundation of modern cloud-native applications, organizations have expanded container use to power databases and other stateful applications. However, a containerized environment is only as good as the data platform it’s built on. Legacy data stores are being retrofitted with cloud-native APIs, but their architectures remain unchanged. This limits the ability of container platforms to scale cost-effectively, provide flexibility, or deliver the resilience required in today's world of ever-growing data.

The VAST Data Platform is purpose-built to overcome the limitations of traditional scale-out systems. Cloud architects get the capabilities they expect from a full-featured Container Storage Interface (CSI), including snapshots, clones, storage classes, and Helm Chart support. They also gain new levels of visibility into workloads and the ability to resize and scale resources for unmatched elasticity and control.
