How VAST Amplify Works

VAST Amplify is designed to meet customers where they are technically and operationally while providing multiple paths to unlock dramatically more effective capacity.

1. Estate Intelligence Every engagement begins with a detailed analysis of your existing environment. VAST works with you to identify stranded flash, utilization gaps, and architectural inefficiencies that are suppressing usable capacity across your estate.

In many cases, the capacity you need already exists. It’s just inaccessible.

2. Rapid Platform Qualification

Depending on the server platform, VAST can install software directly onto existing systems, transforming traditional DAS into a highly efficient VAST E-Box cluster. What was once isolated, underutilized capacity becomes part of a unified, shared-everything architecture.

In other environments, qualified SSDs can be removed from legacy servers and redeployed into accelerated NVMe-oF-based JBOFs. Combined with an NVMe fabric and VAST C-Nodes, that same flash is elevated into a disaggregated VAST cluster purpose-built for scale, efficiency, and performance.

Throughout the process, VAST rapidly qualifies hardware platforms as needed, ensuring a fast, low-risk path to amplification.

3. Capacity Amplification
