John Mao

John is a technology executive with 20+ years of experience across early- and growth-stage companies. He currently serves as Vice President of Global Business Development and Strategic Alliances at VAST Data, where he focuses on enabling AI, data analytics, and cloud use cases for large-scale data organizations. Prior to VAST, John led product management and strategy across cloud infrastructure, analytics, networking, custom silicon, storage, and hyperconverged systems. He began his career as a database engineer and holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Texas.
