Glenn Lockwood

Glenn is a Principal Technical Strategist at VAST Data, where he helps teams building HPC and AI infrastructure reason about system architecture, data paths, and performance at scale. His focus is translating the mechanics of AI training and inference into practical guidance for extreme-scale design and operations. Previously, he worked on large-scale supercomputing platforms at Microsoft Azure and NERSC, including Azure systems used to train leading large language models and a 30+ PB all-NVMe Lustre file system for Perlmutter. He holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science from Rutgers University.
