Bryan Whitmore

Bryan is a senior technology leader and customer-facing engineer with more than two decades of experience in data platforms, distributed systems, and enterprise infrastructure. He is currently a Senior Data Architect at VAST Data in the Detroit area, where he helps organizations modernize how they store, manage, and leverage data at scale (since 2024). Prior to joining VAST Data, Bryan served as a Principal Solutions Architect at Yugabyte, guiding customers through the design and adoption of cloud-native, distributed SQL databases across the Greater Boston region (2021–2024). Before that, he spent over a decade at Micro Focus as Principal Solution Architect for Vertica, partnering with enterprises to build high‑performance analytics platforms and data warehouses (2010–2021). Earlier in his career, Bryan held solutions and technical roles at F5 Networks, Acopia Networks, Cisco Systems, and ArrowPoint Communications. This progression reflects a strong foundation in networking and infrastructure, evolving into deep expertise in data platforms and large-scale, data‑intensive architectures.
