Bert Corderman
Bert is Director of Engineering at The Trade Desk, where he leads teams responsible for the company's core data platforms, customer-facing data products, and privacy and data governance systems. His organization designs, builds, and operates large-scale data infrastructure that ingests, parses, stores, and aggregates over 1PB of compressed data per day, sustaining peak throughput of 18 million events per second.
Bert's teams power the core bidding datasets that underpin The Trade Desk's platform and deliver more than 100,000 reports and 10,000 data feeds daily to internal stakeholders and external customers. His scope spans both the platform architecture that enables this scale and the engineering teams that develop customer-facing reporting and data delivery products.
In addition, Bert is responsible for privacy and data governance engineering, focused on ensuring data is discoverable, protected, and safely consumable across the organization. His work sits at the intersection of high-performance storage, analytics platforms, and governance, with hands-on experience across Airflow, Databricks, Snowflake, and Vertica.
